Halloween is still on the horizon, but NorthPark Center is already planning for Christmas. The shopping mall recently hosted a kickoff party for one of its main winter attractions, The Trains at NorthPark.
Every year, thousands of holiday shoppers watch an impressive array of toy trains traverse miniature landscapes. Ticket sales benefit The Ronald McDonald House, a nonprofit serving critically ill children and their families.
April Cook, Jennifer Tobin, Annika Cail and Sara Friedman will chair this year’s exhibit. The ladies, along with the rest of the Trains at NorthPark committee, have already accrued $240,850 in sponsorships.
To celebrate, PIRCH, a purveyor of home appliances, threw a little party September 23. Guests munched on hors d’oeurvres and sipped wine while Jill Cumnock, CEO of Ronald McDonald House of Dallas thanked them for their support.
The trains don’t start chugging until November 21, but you don’t have to wait that long to get in on the action. Customize and purchase a limited edition railcar by clicking here.
