Feast on crawfish while supporting the athletic boosters at W.T. White High School this Saturday, April 30. The annual Crawfish Boil, complete with all the fixings, takes place at the Park Forest Pool from 4 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $25 and available here. The event is for those 21 and up.
Lemonade stands are about to get competitive. Ten children who have been through the Lemonade Day program, which is meant to inspire an early business acumen in youth, will showcase their skills in production and sales. A panel of judges will sample the tangy beverages and award prizes for most original and best flavor. The general public will be able to taste as well and will award the People’s Choice prize. It all goes down at NorthPark Center in the NorthCourt Saturday, April 30, rom 2 to 4 p.m.
The second annual Color Run hits the Northaven Trail this Sunday, May 1, at 4 p.m. (register before from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. or online.) Put on something white and bound through the family friendly 5k through a swirl of colorful powder. The day ends with a festival of live music and food trucks.
